It depends on the country, but one rule runs across the EU. Annex I of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, Annex I lists as unfair in all circumstances: "Establishing, operating or promoting a pyramid promotional scheme where a consumer gives consideration for the opportunity to receive compensation that is derived primarily from the introduction of other consumers into the scheme rather than from the sale or consumption of products." Yes. Germany treats progressive schemes as a criminal matter under its unfair competition law (see the Germany page), Spain regulates MLM in its Retail Trade Law (see the Spain page), and Poland has a buy-back expectation and recent fines (see the Poland page). The UK has its own rules since leaving the EU (see the UK page). A European project usually needs one rule set per country.

The European Consumer Centres Network page gives a 14-day right of withdrawal for off-premises purchases, extended up to 12 months if the seller does not give the required information, with a refund within 14 days. The software can store the sale, delivery and cancellation dates, the refund and the commission reversed.

GDPR applies to the personal data of members in the EU. We build role-based access, encrypted passwords and backups, and we can add consent records and data export. How the rules apply to you is a question for your lawyer or data protection officer.

We integrate PayPal, Razorpay and CCAvenue. Gateways that publish API documents, such as Stripe and Mollie, can be integrated from their documentation. Which payment methods you get depends on what each gateway approves for your business. Wallets, orders and reports use euros (EUR) or the local currency.
