A Stair Step plan starts like a unilevel plan: there is no limit on the first level. Members then climb a series of ranks by meeting sales volume targets, and each rank unlocks a higher commission rate. When a member's leg reaches a set rank, it can "break away", which means it stops counting towards the original sponsor's group volume.

After a breakaway, the original sponsor is usually paid a smaller override on the breakaway group instead, and the sponsor's own volume is free to build the next rank. The ranks, targets and override rates are set by your plan.
There are generally two types of bonuses in Stair Step MLM Software:

One can earn "fast start bonus" by achieving a certain level within a certain period of time.
CLEAR SHIP POOL :
The member can achieve certain percentage of value called "Clear-Ship Pool" on leveling up to a certain level.
How Ranks and Breakaway Are Handled in the Software
A Stair Step plan is rule-heavy, so the software has to track volume for every member and re-check ranks every period. This is the usual sequence, with the numbers left for you to set:
