The Matrix plan, also called a forced matrix or ladder matrix plan, limits how many members each distributor can have on the first level (the width) and how many levels are paid (the depth), for example 3x7 or 5x5. When a position is full, new members are placed beneath existing members, which is called spillover. Because the structure is fixed, payouts can be calculated and tracked automatically. Referral Bonus
Referral bonus depends on the number of sales and even provides a commission to the users for all the sponsoring or referrals.
Matching Bonus
Bonus received by the downline members will be directly beneficial to their corresponding sponsor.
Level Commission
In Level Commission, all the users with active downlinemember's gains quality amount as a bonus.
Position Bonus
One adding new members to the downline allows every sponsor to earn good bonus. This bonus is called as the Position Bonus.
Matrix Completion Bonus
When a matrix is completed, the qualifying members receive a completion bonus, as configured in your plan.

The general formula upon which Matrix Compensation Plan works is

- where, Width is the number of members that each level can have;
Depth is the overall level of the plan;
Matrix Sizes: How Many Positions Each One Holds
A matrix is written as width x depth. A 3x5 matrix lets each member have 3 people on the first level and pays down 5 levels. The table shows how many positions exist below one member when every level is completely filled. A real matrix fills over time as members join, so these are structural limits, not expected results.

Any other width and depth can be built to match your business plan. A wider matrix fills the first level faster, while a deeper matrix pays across more levels, so the right size depends on your product price, margins and the payout budget you set.
How Spillover Is Handled in Matrix MLM Software
When a member's first level is full, the next person they enrol has to be placed somewhere else in the structure. The placement rule decides who benefits, so it is one of the first things we agree with you. These are the common options we build:
- Level by level, left to right: the new member takes the first free position in the sponsor's matrix, filling each level before the next.
- Sponsor first, then overflow: the new member sits directly under the sponsor if there is space, and otherwise under the first free position in the downline.
- Holding area: new members wait until the sponsor chooses where to place them, within the rules you set.
- Custom rules: placement based on your own conditions, such as active status or rank.
